Cleaning and Maintenance
Bejot products are made of high quality materials. To ensure long-term use of upholstered furniture, special care should be taken during cleaning. It is important to observe specific cleaning methods¬ for different surfaces.
Vacuuming
Regular vacuuming of upholstered furniture is essential for long-term material use. However, excessive friction should be avoided to prevent fiber damage.
- Never pour cleaning solution directly onto the upholstery (the manufacturer is not responsible for any damage incurred if the liquid is applied directly to the fabric surface).
- Always perform a cleaning test on invisible, hidden areas, preferably from the back of the furniture.
- Do not use chemicals!
- Instead of using chemically neutral soap, you can try a readily available, certified upholstery, wood, or metal cleaning agent following the instructions provided for the use of this agent.
Fabrics
- In case of stains, act promptly.
- Remove stains with a white, soft, dry cleaning cloth or paper towel.
- Remove residue stains with a white, soft cotton cleaning cloth lightly moistened with water and neutral soap.
- Clean the stain from the outer edge towards the center to prevent spreading.
- Do not rub to prevent spreading or penetration of the stain into the fabric.
- Use only non-dyed cleaning cloths or well-wrung sponges to remove stains.
- Rinse the cleaning cloth or sponge in clean water and then squeeze it very well.
- After cleaning, dry the stained area with a white, cotton cleaning cloth.
- Do not use the furniture until the upholstery is completely dry.
- For velour fabrics, gently comb the surface with a soft, clean brush along the direction of the hair.
